Top tower defense games of 2011

2011 has just begun and already there have been some fun online flash tower defense games released that feature excellent gameplay. There are reports of Tower defense games being an overused and tired genre of game that fails to bring fun or excitement. Although there is some fact to the genre being saturated, there are still plenty of fun to play and outstanding tower defense games out there. So far far this year, these are my top 5 tower defense games. I will post updates to this post as more games are released.

Pokemon tower defense - A tower defense game that is based on the popular pokemon universe. This tower defense games first came out for cellphones, but do to copy-writes, was quickly pull from the market.

Gemcraft Labyrinth A continuance of the popular tower defense series. Ads a bit of complexity

Monster Castle defense A retro looking tower defense game that pokes fun at a variety of previous games while providing entertaining game play.

Protector 4.5 An update of the always popular tower defense series that allows you a greater variety of heroes

Elements and Magic A fantasy based tower defense game where you must harvest resources while summoning wizards or creating catapults to defeat the enemy hordes.

Football Defans A funny defense game where you must keep rivaling football team fans from meeting and fighting

GreyWars A sweet game where you must defend your cows against alien abductions. Has a in depth research chain with many references to Xcom. Also super awesome because I made this game :).

Crush the Castle TD. A medevil tower defense game made from the makers of Crush the castle. It is totally unreleated to the physics game, but still allot of fun to play.

Kingdom Rush. This is by far my favorite tower defense game ever. It has plenty of variety, its unique and the production quality is like no other game.
